Micro:bit Experiment 07:Temperature Sensor —— Elecfreaks Mirco: bit Starter Kit Course

图片
Introduction: Temperature sensor is a kind of sensor that can feel temperature and transfer it into output data. Temperature sensor is the core component of temperature gauges and instruments. It has multiple categories. In this experiment, we are going to learn analog temperature sensor--TMP36 and display its data on the screen of Micro:bit.   Components List Hardware: 1 x Micro:bit Board 1 x Micro-B USB Cable 1 x Microbit Breadboard Adapter 1 x Transparent Breadboard - 83 * 55 mm 1 x TMP36 Temperature Sensor 1 x Breadborad jumper wire 65pcs pack Tips: If you want all components above, you may need Elecfreaks Micro:bit Starter Kit .   Software: Microsoft Makecode Online Editor Major Components Introduction TMP36 TMP36 is a kind of analog temperature sensor. Its output voltage and temperature forms a linear relationship. That means higher temperature will have bigger output voltage.   Note: When we look at the front side ...

Micro:bit Experiment 05: RGB LED —— Elecfreaks Mirco: bit Starter Kit Course

图片
Introduction RGB LED is a kind of LED. It can emit light with three different colors: red, green, blue. In this experiment, we are trying to make RGB LED gradually shift its light among the three different colors. Component List Hardware: 1 x  Micro:bit Board 1 x Micro-B USB Cable 1 x  Microbit Breadboard Adapter 1 x  Transparent Breadboard - 83 * 55 mm 1 x RGB LED 3 x 100 Ohm Resistors 1 x  Breadborad jumper wire 65pcs pack Tips: If you want to buy all components above, you may need  Elecfreaks Micro:bit Starter Kit . Software: Microsoft Makecode Online Editor Major Component Introduction RGB LED RGB LED is a kind of LED, which has integrated red LED, green LED, and blue LED into a component. We all knows that the three primary colors of light are red, green, and blue. With different groups of the three color lights, we can create all colors of the world. Similarly, if we use RGB LED to group lights with different brightness, ...

How to Identify Color Circle Resistance Value

图片
In our latest blog “  DIY Electronic Alarm Clock Kits ”, we have referred to color circle resistance soldering. You might know little about this resistance. So i decided to write a blog to help you enter into the world of basic electronic . Color circle resistance is a kind of resistance, which is widely used to various electronic devices. No matter how it installed, maintenance people can easily read out its value by color circle, thus enable them to check and replace it very conveniently. Normally there are four-color resistance, five-color resistance and six color resistance. Today we are going to teach you how to identify color circle resistance value. Before we move on, let’s take a look of the picture below: Can you read the resistance value by yourselves? I guess this is head-aching task for you who never know any electronic knowledge. From the figure above, i can read that resistance value is 4.7kΩ, tolerance ±1%. You might wonder how i read the value? Don't worr...

Micro:bit & Rock Paper Scissors

图片
Rock Paper Scissors, you might know it well for you had played it in your childhood again and again. No matter how fairness it seems, this game has drawback, which comes from your hand motion speed and tricks, and you must have observed if you paid attention to it. We all know that BBC micro:bit has Bluetooth function and different micro:bit boards can transmit data with it. Today we are going to use this Bluetooth function to play Rock Paper Scissors. Bluetooth signal is unseen and untouchable so that it will completely eradicate tricks during the game. Our Goal: Through studying the case i am going to show you, you can gradually get to know the usage of micro:bit Bluetooth function such as Group ID setting, data transmission and data receive. Our Requirement: Press button "A" to choose Rock, Scissors or Paper. Press button "B" to confirm our choice and transmit it with Bluetooth. If we have finished choose and received data transmitted from our pa...
